Job description

Read and interpret complex schematic drawings in order to plan methods and sequence of assembly. Performs diverse functions such wiring, installation, terminations, connecting panels, up-fitting cable trays/ladder racks, conduit up-fitting, crimping on gensets and enclosures..

Responsibilities

• Use a variety of power tools, hand tools and other equipment.
• Report malfunctions on equipment.
• Compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Compliance with 5S programme and other business improvement initiatives.
• Train other employees if and when required.
• Any other appropriate duties.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Must have previous electrical experience (wiring, installation, terminations, connecting panels, up-fitting cable trays/ladder racks, conduit up-fitting, crimping).
• Experience working to defined process times.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work from heights and in an enclosed work area.
• A keen awareness and commitment to the highest standard of health and safety and quality.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Reasonable level of computer literacy would be an advantage but not essential.

Further Information

Work time: 4 day week Monday to Thursday: Monday 7:30am-5:45pm, Tuesday to Thursday 7:30am-5:15pm. OT 1.5 is paid for the first 10 hours after 37.5 hours basic is worked and thereafter double time is paid. Immediate start available.
