Job description

The Business Services Organisation (BSO) provides a broad range of ICT services to HSC Organisations. The post holder will be part of a team of ICT professionals and data engineers who are collectively responsible for the support, design, development, testing and delivery of the Regional Data Warehouse. The Regional Data Warehouse contains secondary care health data, associated user interfaces and automation packages required for critical reporting and research across the health service. The post holder will lead a team of software developers in the creation of high quality software to an agreed specification and within agreed project deadlines. As team leader, the post holder will be responsible for the design, implementation and developer-level testing of user interfaces, server and interface components, ensuring that code takes into account security, scalability, compatibility and maintainability. .

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of high-quality software in line with agreed plans and within agreed budget as directed and advised by the Development Manager.
• Keep abreast of developments to the technologies used in the IT applications, review these developments, and advise on their potential impact.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• A university degree, or professional qualification, relevant to ICT and have worked for at least 3 years in a ICT data management role within a major organisation.
• Have at least 5 year experience in a ICT data management role within a major organisation And Demonstrate relevant specialist knowledge and experience in Database and query design for reporting and analysis.
