IT & CCTV Technical Support Agent
Job description
Due to increasing levels of growth, we are looking to further bolster our Technical Team. This is an office based role but the majority of work is helping third party CCTV engineers around the UK & Ireland using telephone, WhatsApp, email, Teamviewer and our ticketing system..
Responsibilities
- Setup detection and communications on new sites and upgrade existing sites via remote configuration tools and working with with on-site engineers.
- Carry out technical improvements to existing configurations as they become identified.
- Communicate regularly with internal teams providing fast and accurate status updates.
- Be CRM focused, ensuring all actions are fully documented with an eye for detail.
- Assist the technical team with new growth related activities and seek to take on new projects as they become available.
- Test prototypes for frequent day to day use ensuring they are robust and efficient.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- A fast learner with a keen interest in technology.
- Advanced time management skills and confident multi-tasker.
- Excellent communication and 'people skills'.
- The ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Requirement to complete successful screening in line with British Standards 7858
Desirable Skills
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a technical position ideally within an IP CCTV or IT networking environment
- Knowledge of CCTV Detection technologies would be advantageous
- Strong IP networking knowledge including routing and firewall configuration
- Clean UK Driving Licence

Work time: 9am-6pm Mon to Fri (but with an on call element out of hours after training on a rota basis). This is a demanding but rewarding role. You will confidently manage numerous new connections, existing site upgrades and improvement tasks on a daily basis whilst continually communicating with on-site engineers. You will be at the forefront of new and innovative security detection technology and you will have a hand in assisting the development of the next generation of detection technology. You will need to be able to demonstrate your success and ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time with exemplary communication skills and maintain strong relationships. Training will be provided as required. Some home & flexible working is possible. Salary negotiable
