Job description
The Director of Occupational Health and Well-being Services is a key leadership role within the Police Service of Northern Ireland, holding primary responsibility for the effective operation and delivery of the organisation’s range of multidisciplinary occupational health and well-being services. In addition to developing and embedding progressive occupational health and well-being strategies and supporting systems, the role holder will lead a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, health professionals and support staff in building and supporting the resilience and well-being of the organisation and its workforce to deliver its strategic objectives. .
Responsibilities
- Leading and continuously developing a high performing, professional and collaborative occupational health and well-being function that assists the organisation in achieving its strategic aims and delivery of policing for Northern Ireland communities.
- Delivering occupational health and well-being strategies and preventative interventions through efficient and effective service provision across medical, nursing, mental health, physiotherapy and physical health services and attendance management.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Evidence of strategy development skills demonstrated through the formulation and delivery of an effective business, clinical or Human Resources strategy.
- Experience of leading strategic work programmes that have delivered successful outcomes in optimising organisational performance.
