Bus Driver
Job description
Little Rays, Ballymena are advertising for a driver to join our team and help with our school deliveries and collections. We offer transport to and from school to our Primary school aged children, you will be required to operate our nursery vehicles in a safe and efficient way according to relevant legislation, policies and procedures. You will be asked to perform weekly safety and maintenance checks. The successful candidate must have a full, current UK driving licence. Must have a friendly nature with children and have regard for their safety and well being at all times..
Responsibilities
- Perform weekly safety and maintenance checks
- Pick up and drop of children as per set schedule obtained from management
- Ensure speed limits are adhered to at all times
- Ensuring children's safety when dropping off or collecting from school
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- To ensure that a valid driving licence is held at all times and is available for inspection by management at all times
- To have up to date Child Protection training at all times, nursery manager will arrange this.
- Operate the nursery vehicle in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience of school runs
- Perform minor maintenance duties such as changing the oil
Further Information
Work time: 8:15am-9:15am and 1:30pm-3:30pm every weekday during term time (hours can be discussed), if the morning hours do not suit we can reduce the contract to 10 hours per week term time. Please discuss with manager. Days can also be discussed if 5 days per week cannot be fulfilled.
