Community Care Workers


Job description

We have flexible full-time and part-time rotas available.  For those who can work when their children are at school we have morning and afternoon rotas - for those who can only work in the evenings we have put to bed rotas.  The put to bed rota is also ideal for students over 18 who have classes during the day and are free in the evenings. The only criteria is that you hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle. Personal care - washing/showering, oral hygiene, toileting, dressing/undressing. .

Responsibilities

  • Meal preparation (breakfast, lunch, tea or supper)
  • Companionship
  • General tidy up

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Full driving licence and access to a motor vehicle
  • Great communication skills
  • Able to promote and deliver person centered care
  • Able to promote dignity and respect when delivering care
  • Be well organised/professional/caring
  • Interested in working in the community within Health & Social Care
  • Care about the community they live in

Desirable Skills

  • QCF Level 2 or above in Health and Social Care

Work Time: Varied on rota. We have recently opened a new branch of NWCare in Rathfriland.  We are now recruiting for community care workers for the Newry area. You must have the right to work in the UK.
