Job description

As Banqueting Chef de Partie you will work closely with both junior and senior chefs. You will be required to maintain high quality throughout the function kitchen whilst also occasionally running your own section. You will need to have an understanding of the whole kitchen and have the ability to help all sections throughout any given day..


  • To run a section and work closely with the Commis Chefs.
  • Assist with stock taking and stock rotation
  • To ensure high standards for Food Hygiene and Health & Safety at all times.
  • To be knowledgeable about kitchen etiquette and practice, including wastage, cleanliness & punctuality

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Industry recognised professional cookery/ culinary qualifications
  • L2 Food Hygiene certification
  • L2 Health & Safety at Work
  • Previous experience of Banqueting Chef de Partie or banqueting Demi chef de Partie role
  • Passion for food and artistic flair
  • Eye for detail
  • Excellent communicator
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Work well under pressure
  • Excellent self management
  • Ability to understand, speak and write in English as this is the primary language of the client base.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience of Hotel based Banqueting work.
  • Experience of a fast paced, high volume kitchens
  • Experience of the training and development of less experienced chefs
