Cook (Band 2)
Job description
The core purpose of a cook is to undertake cooking duties associated with the provision of meals within the Trusts Residential Homes and Day Centres. He\she will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of food production and hygiene standards and ensure that food safety is managed in accordance with the WHSCT HACCP Plan. Use initiative to work on own but also direct other staff and monitor their activities..
Responsibilities
- Preparation/cooking of vegetables, soups, sauces main meals and desserts.
- Using a variety of cooking methods will be required.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 1 year's cooking experience working within a commercial catering/health care facility And Hold a NVQ Level 1 & 2 in Catering or City and Guilds 706/1 plus 706/2 or equivalent
- 3 years cooking experience working within a commercial catering/health care facility
Further Information
Work time: To be confirmed. Salary: £20,270 - £21,318 per annum pro rata.
