Part-time Lecturer - Tour Guiding
Job description
Assess student needs, plan and prepare teaching and learning programmes for groups and individuals and manage the learning process within the classes you are assigned.
Responsibilities
- Carry out teaching duties for the appropriate subject in either the vocational or non-vocational areas
- Provide learners with support, develop and use a range of teaching and learning techniques and assess learning outcomes
- Be responsible for marking the class register(s) for their class(es). (Each register and all records of work must be completed in every respect and returned to the College)
- Set and mark appropriate assessments and keep a record of class marks awarded
- Draw up a scheme of work for the class at the beginning of the session and submit a copy to the Line Manager for approval
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Have at least a Level 3 qualification in Tour Guiding or a Blue Badge Tour Guiding qualification
- Be able to demonstrate on the application form, by providing personal and specific examples, at least one years experience in Tour Guiding

Work time: As & when required (To be confirmed). Rates of Pay are based on the level of course taught, i.e. courses above National Certificate - £ 36.03; courses above the level of GCSE - £30.77; courses at GCSE or lower - £22.59.
