Olympic Handball Participation Officer


Job description

Organising, developing and delivering a varied range of handball activities, projects or programmes. Managing budgets. Keeping statistical and financial records planning. Undertaking administrative tasks e.g., emails, phone calls and writing reports. Liaising and working with relevant organisations or agencies including youth services, schools, clubs, sports coaches and sports councils. Monitoring and assessing progress. Collaborate with local coaches, volunteers and staff. .

Responsibilities

  • Grow the presence of Olympic Handball in Northern Ireland.
  • Coaching Olympic Handball.
  • Arranging schools' competitions.
  • Planning and delivering age-appropriate coaching sessions.
  • Administration and organisation of coaching sessions in schools.
  • Liaising and communicating with school and Club staff.
  • Planning and scheduling of tournament and events.
  • Budgeting and costings of activities.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Mode of transport and Drivers Licence.
  • Enhanced Access NI Check.
  • Ability to communicate and lead.
  • Ability to build relationships with participants of all ages.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous coaching experience.
  • Coaching badges.
  • Safeguarding.
  • First Aid.

Further Information

The Employer is: IRISH OLYMPIC HANDBALL ASSOCIATION Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Wage: 16/17 £5.28, 18/20yrs £7.49, 21/22yrs £10.18, 23/24yrs £10.42 per hour
