Job description

Randox Laboratories are seeking applications from candidates to join our growing R&D team as a R&D Scientist to undertake real time analysis of our Randox Reagents. This role would be based In Crumlin.

Responsibilities

• Development of new immunoassay products in accordance with project development milestones and Randox design control procedures.
• The operation and routine maintenance of various immunoassay and clinical chemistry analysers and laboratory equipment
• Following established standard operating procedures highlighting any issues/updates to laboratory manager / Senior scientist.
• In-process testing and QC release of final products.
• Continual improvement and assessment of existing products.
• The accurate maintenance of laboratory worksheets, in-process testing and QC records in-line with Randox Quality Procedures.
• Accurate recording of key performance indicators.
• Generation and documentation of assay development data in line with design control procedures.
• Participation in internal audits.
• Preparation and presentation of R&D technical reviews to senior management in accordance with design control procedures.
• The training and mentoring of other laboratory staff as required
• Adherence to company Positive work Environment Policies, health & safety procedures, and the maintenance of a safe working environment.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Be qualified to at least Honours degree standard in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Immunology or Life Science.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to prioritise work in a logical fashion.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in clinical chemistry and reagent applications.
• Experience in standard computer applications.
