Job description

We would love to a recruit a Bakery Assistant to assist us in our busy bakery. Working in a team, the bakery assistant will assist with various bakery tasks to ensure the smooth running of the bakery, which will provide homemade baked goods to our six shops. To work as our Bakery Assistant, you should have excellent communication skills, able to use own initiative and able to work within a team.

Responsibilities

• Preparing the ovens and equipment.
• Bake items on a daily basis using recipes provided.
• Bake and decorate cupcakes, bake and cut traybakes using recipes provided.
• Measuring and weighing wet and dry ingredients.
• Monitoring the standard of ingredients.
• Baking items in ovens and setting timers.
• Packaging and arranging baked goods for different shops.
• Noting stock supplies.
• Cleaning/tidying up each day including doing dishes.
• To undertake any other duties commensurate and agreed by Manager.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Prior experience in a bakery environment preferred but not essential.
• A keen eye for detail.
• Advanced ability to multitask.
• Ability to work in a very fast paced, busy bakery environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent teamwork skills.

Further Information

The Employer is: RHIANNON'S CAKES AND BAKES. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Salary: 16/17 £5.28, 18/20yrs £7.49, 21/22yrs £10.18, 23/24yrs £10.42 per hour
