Job description

Trainee mechanical engineer opportunity to assist and learn and be a proficient engineer in machine assembly in correct working condition, machine fault diagnosis and fault repair, machine routine service schedule, identification and correct use of tools, attend if desired official training and equipment with the goal of becoming a fully qualified agricultural machine mechanical engineer.

Responsibilities

• To attend work during the appropriate hours, work alongside trained engineers and learn on the job and attend training courses if desired to become a proficient agricultural mechanical engineer.
• The candidate is responsible for the safe working practises that effect themselves and others in their workplace. Full training will be provided.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• An interest in engineering or machinery, 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) and a willingness to learn engineering skills.

Desirable Skills

• Previous mechanical experience, able to drive an agricultural tractor.

Further Information

The Employer is: W BELL TRACTORS LTD. Although this is a full time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Salary: 16-17 £6.40, 18-20 £8.60, 21 plus £11.44 per hour.
