Trainee Butcher
Job description
The Butcher will be responsible for preparing, cutting and packaging various types of meat products to meet customer demand. Assist customers with their meat selection and provide expert advice on cooking techniques and recipe ideas. They will be expected to maintain a clean and organised work area. Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective operations. Full training will be given on all duties.
Responsibilities

- Stock rotation.
- Waste management.
- Ability to conduct temperature measurements and place on temperature control records along with dates.
- Labelling and weighing products correctly.
- Boning of beef, turkey, lamb and pork.
- Manufacturing sausages, burgers and mince.

- Computer literate.

The Employer is: THE LAUREL MEAT COMPANY LTD Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Location: Smyth's EUROSPAR Salary: 16-17 £6.40, 18-20 £8.60, 21 plus £11.44 per hour.
