Job description

To care for children under the age of 5 years old. To contribute to a planned programme of activities suitable to the age range of children in conjunction with other staff. To keep a proper record of observations on key children. Work alongside parents/carers children to provide full integration in the nursery. Support all staff and engage in a good staff team. Uphold standards within the nursery by adhering to all policies and procedures. Liaise with and support parents/carers and other family members. To be flexible within the working practices of the nursery.

Responsibilities

• Taking care of children care needs.
• Carrying out planned activities for the children.
• General housekeeping duties.
• Carrying out observations as a key worker.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Working as part of a team.
• Using your own initiative.

Desirable Skills

• Childcare qualification Level 3 or above.
• Interest in music, art or sports.
