Job description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the planning of menus, preparation and cooking of nutritional meals and snacks for babies and young children while taking into consideration all dietary requirements and allergen concerns as well as ensuring that all legal, safety and individual requirements are met..
Responsibilities
- To work as a member of a highly qualified team.
- Provide a balanced and varied nutritional menu.
- Provide the highest standards of maintenance of the existing recordkeeping systems in line with Environmental Health requirements.
- Ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained.
- Work together as part of a team.
- To support other staff members who cover in the absence of the post holder.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
- Experience of planning balanced and nutritional menus.
- Ability to cook.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in a cooking environment.
- Catering qualification.
Further Information
The Employer is: AISLING DAYCARE & AFTERSCHOOLS. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
