The Employer is: TITUS SOLUTIONS We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee Mechanical Engineer. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with limited experience to gain hands-on training and practical knowledge in mechanical engineering within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers in designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components.
• Participate in the creation and modification of engineering designs using CAD software.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of experiments and tests to evaluate the performance of mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Learn and apply industry standards and regulations.
• Support the documentation and reporting of project progress and findings.
• Take initiative in identifying areas for improvement and proposing solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work closely with other engineers in a very hands-on workshop environment where you will actively participate in building, producing and refurbishing a wide range of industrial products.
• Working with metal, both welding and fabricating for the production of products.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic industry.

Desirable Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, SolidWorks) preferred.
• Qualifications and/or experience in welding preferred.
• Qualification and/or experience in metal fabrication preferred.
• Experience gained in an industrial/workshop environment preferred.

Further Information

Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Salary: 16/17 £6.40, 18/20yrs £8.60, 21yrs or over £11.44 per hour
