The Employer is: AN GAELÁRAS LTD. CULTÚRLANN UÍ CHANÁIN. Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin are seeking to employ a Trainee Theatre Technician for our Irish language and Cultural Centre. The successful candidate of this post will work alongside our Arts project Bláthanna and will be answerable to the Arts Project Manager. Assist with setting up lighting and sound equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up lighting and sound equipment.
• Operate and maintain equipment during small-scale events.
• Assist with de-rigging all equipment at the end of the event and ensure its safely stored.
• Keeping an itinerary of working equipment and ordering new equipment when necessary.
• Work as part of a crew.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• High level of spoken and written Irish.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Organised.
• Good time management skills.
• Team player.

Desirable Skills

• Previous backstage theatre experience.

The Employer is: AN GAELÁRAS LTD. CULTÚRLANN UÍ CHANÁIN. Salary: Under 18 £6.40, 18-20 £8.60, 21 & over £11.44 per hour. Location: Cultúrlann Uí Chanáin, 37 Great James Street, Derry/Londonderry Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position.
