Night Porter
Job description
The Employer is: MCKEEVER HOTELS. The Night Porter will be responsible for preparing and executing all night operations and an emphasis will largely be placed on ensuring company standards, effective delivery of product and service, and hotel security.
Responsibilities
- To ensure you report for duty on time.
- To wear your name badge at all times.
- To set up all function/meeting rooms in line with SOP and customer requests.
- To take responsibility for the security and well-being of all overnight guests.
- To be able to confidently carry out a fire evacuation.
- To carry out regular floor walks ensuring the building is secure during the night.
- To record all relevant health and safety checks.
- To confidently check in/out and take reservations.
- To carry out night audits and ensure all systems are ready for the early shift.
- To be aware of all legislation relating to the service of alcohol.
- To maintain hotel standards of hygiene and cleanliness in all public areas and in line with housekeeping SOP.
- To be familiar with all facilities in the hotel and be able to cross-sell accommodation and other products.
- To ensure all customers are served quickly and courteously as per service procedure.
- To ensure you can confidently serve all beverages.
- To ensure that all complaints are dealt with courteously and reported to management.
- To follow cash handling procedures as per company policy.
- To assist with the training of other staff.
- To ensure you adhere to all heath and safety, fire and food hygiene regulation as per company policy.
- To be competent in the use of all AV equipment and maintain all of this as best possible.
- To ensure all back of house storage and preparation areas are well maintained and replenished in line with hotel health and safety standards.
- To perform any other duties that may be required as regarded necessary by management.

- Good communication skills.

Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
