Technical Metals are leading Aluminium Finishers offering customers a wide range of Anodising and Surface preparation processes, which include CNC Machining, Clear, Black, Bright and Half Bright Anodising, Bead blasting, Buffing, Polishing, Linishing, Clear chem treatment. Technical Metals works and supplies finished metal components to leading aerospace companies throughout the world. The Aerospace Manufacturing Operator plays a critical role in our manufacturing process, and we are looking for someone who can help us maintain our standards of excellence. Responsibilities
- Finishing Tasks: Get onsite training to be able to perform tasks to assist with the finishing of parts: bead blasting, buffing, jigging, anodising, etc.
- Quality Control: Inspect and verify the quality of finished products, identifying and reporting any defects or issues to supervisors.
- Material Handling: Safely handle raw materials and finished products, ensuring proper storage and organisation.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Packing: Inspect, pack and despatch finished parts in line with company standards for preservation of product.
- Maintenance: Assist in basic maintenance tasks for machinery and equipment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities produced and any issues encountered.
- Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and quality to ensure products meet specifications.
- Safety Awareness: Strict adherence to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Team Player: Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cohesively with colleagues.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and address issues or obstacles that may arise during the production process.
Desirable Skills
- Previous Manufacturing Experience: Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, especially in the production of springs or metal components.
- Forklift Operation: Certification or experience in operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.
- Quality Control Knowledge: Familiarity with quality control processes and techniques to ensure product integrity. Knowledge of different quality standards (i.e., ISO9001, AS9101)
- Basic Maintenance Skills: Understanding of basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Further Information
The employer is TECHNICAL METALS. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended, and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Salary: £11.44 per hour.
