Business Administration Assistant
Job description
The employer is LEDCOM. We are seeking a person to join the LEDCOM team as a Business Administration Assistant. The successful candidate will support with the general administration of our range of business services.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the LEDCOM team to provide excellent customer service to our clients by provide effective administrative support including managing client appointments and providing follow up support as required.
- Supporting business services delivery using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint as required.
- Event coordination: Assist with the organisation of online and in-person business training events, ensuring all logistical details are managed effectively.
- Customer service: Serve as a point of contact for customers, answering telephone calls and maintaining emails and digital media interaction effectively.
- Support marketing & promotional activities including use of digital media.
- Record-keeping: Support input and update of customer data in Programme Management and Customer Relationship Management systems.
- Accounts & procurement: Support the Finance Officer liaising with customers and suppliers as necessary.
- Team collaboration: Work closely with LEDCOM team members and associates to help the business succeed.
- General business administration and office management responsibilities.
- Other business operations related duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Organisational skills and ability to multitask: Prioritisation and effective time management are crucial for managing multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Customer service skills.
- Previous administrative experience, preferably in a professional services or sales related environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
- Reliability: The ideal candidate must be punctual and dependable, able to fulfil assigned tasks consistently and efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail is essential for maintaining effective administration.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for interacting effectively with tenants and team members.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: The ability to think on one's feet and find solutions to unexpected challenges.
- Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and contribute for a positive work environment.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to learn new skills as needed.
Desirable Skills
- E-commerce experience.
- Personal selling skills and experience.
- Accounts administration experience.
Further Information
The employer is LEDCOM. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. With support from the JobStart Scheme, LEDCOM is creating a new position for a Business Administration Assistant for at least 25 hours per week to assist our Facilities Officer. LEDCOM is a social enterprise with charitable status. As a community led local enterprise centre we have four locations in Larne and Ballyclare. This is an initial position for 6 months from 1st September 2024, with the potential for extension, to cover a range of business administration duties to support the LEDCOM team generally and specifically the Finance Officer and Business Marketing Executive. The ability to travel between business sites is preferred. This is a varied role for which appropriate training will be provided.
