Job description

The Employer is: DOVE HOUSE COMMUNITY TRUST. Duties will include: Represent DHCT at seminars, meetings and conferences. Attend team meetings, staff and management meetings as directed. Assist the Advice Coordinator to maintain an up-to-date information bank of leaflets, literature and application forms. Participate in training programmes, both internal and external arranged by the Project Coordinator. Identify and highlight needs advice and issue that arise. Ensure the Coordinator is informed of any personal advice training required or gaps. Assist the Coordinator in funding applications. Full training on AdvicePro will be given to upload documents. Telephone communication with clients to assist them prior to their advice appointments.

Responsibilities

  • To contact clients already booked in and triage material in preparing the clients for their upcoming appointment at DHCT.
  • Upload confidential information onto the system.
  • Work alongside the DHCT Advice team and build good relations.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Applicants should have at least 5 GCSEs including English and one year experience of working in a busy office environment during the past three years.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • ICT literate.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Proven excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of working within a community development context.
  • Basic knowledge of Welfare Rights (not necessary as full training will be given).
