Responsibilities

  • Opportunity Identification: Monitor and identify new business opportunities via portals.
  • Portal Management: Maintain portal logins and update key documents (e.g. insurance, health and safety).
  • Submission Preparation: Assist in prequalification and tender submissions, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Content Writing: Draft non-technical sections of bid submissions.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal and external teams to compile tenders.
  • Accuracy Check: Ensure all tender documents are accurate before submission.
  • Proposal Management: Coordinate and track RFP submissions.
  • Tender Database: Maintain a tender bank for future submissions.
  • Feedback: Seek feedback on unsuccessful tenders and implement improvements.
  • Contract Awards: Record and track contract awards.
  • Business Development Support.
  • Customer Research: Assist in identifying and contacting potential customers in Ireland, the UK, and beyond.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 plus years in a similar role, or 4 plus years with a business-related degree.
  • Education: Degree in Business or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong report writing and literacy skills.
  • Excellent planning and project management abilities.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and within a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a flexible approach.
  • Knowledge of the construction or engineering industry.
  • Grade C or above in GCSE Maths and English.
  • Access to a car and the willingness to travel when required.
