Job description
Be the first point of contact for customers for all large orders/contracts. Have responsibility for the commercial aspects of contracts, raising Early Warnings, CE’s, budgets etc.
Responsibilities
- Have responsibility for the commercial aspects of contracts, raising Early Warnings, CE’s, budgets etc.
- Attend weekly project progress meetings, these are usually held on teams but there will be occasionally requirement to travel to site or customer offices.
- Prepare purchase orders for PLC programmers where required and keep them in the loop with updates on queries, progress and key dates such as FDS submission, FAT and SAT dates.
- Prepare purchase orders for Kiosks where required and track progress on approvals and delivery dates.
- Liaise with MCC design team to ensure all necessary info is available from the customer to enable designs to be completed and agree timescales for completion.
- Liaise with Production manager and PLC engineers to agree FAT dates for projects.
- Arrange panel shipment and installation with customer site teams, carriers and site engineers, distributing RAMS, CSR cards etc.
- Carry out any other duties appropriate to this post.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in a project engineering role.
- Engineering qualification.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Microsoft Project.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to diagnose problems, identify and recommend solutions.
- Handling and processing information and data.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work on own initiative, as part of a team and also independently.
- Ability to travel, plan, manage and prioritise own workload.
