Employer Location: ANTRIMJob description
Responsible to: Farset Board/Steering Group. Work with the Farset Youth & Community Development Board and with representatives of all the stakeholders in the community. Establish a project management team to include the Volunteer Enrolment Co-Ordinator, and Training Personal Development Officers for areas such as administration; volunteer support and team leaders.
Responsibilities

- Implementation
- Project Monitoring and Reporting
- To organise and manage all the people and other resources necessary to deliver the contracted outcomes to time and budget.
- To manage all interfaces between Respect, Department for Communities, Statutory Agencies , the community and other bodies involved with or contributing to the programme.
- To manage all programme activities involving participants and volunteers.
- Ensure the resources to deliver the contracted outcomes are available.
- Develop work packages of services supplies, internal and external.
- Maintain a project office.
- Organise and manage weekly / monthly meetings with the steering and project management groups.
- Maintain the Project plan as developed by Farset Youth & Community Development Board and report on the changes that will / may affect the contracted outcomes in terms of time, outcomes and finances.
- Ensure that all relevant reports are produced on time to the steering group.
- Produce monthly reports highlighted achievements against all Project Milestones.
- Make all relevant reports available to project evaluation team.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Must have a relevant 3'd level qualification or a minimum 3 years’ experience in Managing/Administrating a Community Project. A belief that all young people have a worthwhile future. Experience of working with young people between the age 14-25
- Excellent supervisory and organizational skill Must have a intricate understanding of the Greater Shankill Community Management experience of a community programme. Experience of managing budgets and petty cash.
- Skills in program development and execution Skill in coordinating activities, evaluating data and establishing priorities A clear understanding, awareness and appreciation of the people, community, issues and resources in the area.
- Excellent oral and written communication as well as presentation skills IT literate Proficient in Microsoft desktop applications
- Demonstrable ability to work in partnership with statutory and voluntary agencies and with the community. Experience of working with and managing volunteers. A commitment to personal growth and development.
- A commitment to equal opportunities and experience of its practical application. Ability to travel and be away from home.
- Management experience of a community programme. Administrative skills and experience
Desirable Skills
- A working understanding of Respect Project methodology or previous experience.
