Van Sales - Food Industry An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of a well-structured sales team delivering to current customers as well as upselling and developing new sales calls throughout Northern Ireland and Donegal. The role requires a person with strong influencing skills selling the companies range of products. It requires a person with strong interpersonal and communications skills to maintain relationships with current customers and develop relationships with new customers. This person must be dependable from a customers’ perspective and allow them to feel their needs are fully catered for.

Responsibilities

• Achieve agreed sales targets and customer call rates consistent with the run schedule.
• Your role will be to load the lorry the night before and start your day with loaded customer orders.
• You will go to the warehouse at the end of the day and get the required stock needed for next day orders.
• You will have customer orders and also be responsible for upselling too. You will have a run schedule already planned out daily so you will know exactly where you are going and what customers to call on.
• The routes cover all of Northern Ireland and Donegal.
• Proven track record working as a van sales representative.
• Achieve agreed sales targets and customer call rates consistent with the run schedule.
• Present, promote and sell current range of products and introduce new lines to customers on an ongoing basis.
• Ensure product range correctly merchandised with proper stock rotation on the shelf.
• Expedite the resolution of customers problems and complaints to maximise satisfaction .
• Maintain full stock control of vehicle & depot.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Be a self-starter in order to achieve sales targets and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Take the time to achieve results through a logical and systematic approach.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales either field sales or van sales.
• Minimum full clean B driving licence.
• Previous experience in use of handheld sales devices.
• Ability to work independently.
