Job description
As Finance Officer you will be responsible for the detailed and accurate recording and processing of all finance transactions regarding CDM’s day-to-day business operations on Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll including the use of Electronic Banking and Cash Handling in line with company policies and procedures across all available services and funding streams now and in the future.
Responsibilities
- Deal with member accounts queries , receive, record and update systems (Sage, Booking System) with all member cash/cheque and electronic payments
- Prepare weekly bank Lodgement and ensure monthly bank reconciliations are completed
- Record all staff time sheet information and approved annual leave records
- Process Monthly Payroll / Inland Revenue on Sage Payroll
- Hold full responsibility for preparing and processing member & third party monthly invoices for all services on Sage accounts
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Preparation of monthly/quarterly statistical data plus financial claims to various funding bodies

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Hold 3 GCSE's
- Level 1 Sage Accounts & Sage Payroll
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in financial and general administration.
- Proficiency in ICT, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to respond to inquiries from a diverse range of stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
- The ability to work flexibly and meet tight deadlines.
Desirable Skills
- Level 2 or above Sage Accounts & Sage Payroll
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with knowledge or experience in developing reporting systems and utilising application based products to their full potential.
