Job description

The post holder(s) will provide a key contribution to the efficient delivery of the full range of financial functions within the SPPG. This will include provision of specialist financial advice to Directors, Programme of Care Leads and other Senior Managers within the SPPG and its Commissioning Groups. This will require contributing to the strategic and operational management of the financial resources of the SPPG.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a comprehensive overview of the progress of financial commissioning plans, ensuring linkages are made between finance and other key policy areas, such as capacity and workforce plans.
• Providing specialist financial advice in respect of business cases developed by and submitted to the SPPG.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Full membership of a recognised professional accountancy body (ICAEW, ICAI, CIPFA, CIMA, ICAS,ACCA)
• 3 years post qualification experience in a management role in a major complex organisation (defined as an organisation with an annual budget/turnover of at least £50m or one with at least 100 employees.)
