Job description

To provide cleaning and tidying services throughout the Home to the required standards and rules of the Home and within the Christian ethos of the Council for Social Witness.

Responsibilities

• To clean and tidy toilets
• To clean and tidy bathrooms.
• To clean and tidy bedrooms.
• To clean and tidy corridors.
• To clean and tidy sitting rooms.
• To clean and tidy offices, treatment rooms etc.
• To take rubbish to bins.
• To make beds as required.
• To help in the kitchen as required at busy times.
• To work in the laundry when required.
• To carry out any other reasonable duty as required by the management of the Home, which is necessary for the support and well-being of the residents.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Evidence an understanding of and respect for the needs of older people.
• Awareness of health and safety practices within a working and residential environment.
• Willingness to work additional hours to meet the requirements of the Home.
• Committed to working within the Christian ethos of the Home.
