Job description

Due to company, we are seeking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join our busy Finance team.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly and annual accounts, accruals & prepayments, journal entries & month end reconciliations.
• Preparation of departmental reporting and commentary on variances to budget.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory filings to include RCT & PAYE.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Support external audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
• Assist with the preparation of the year-end accounts and Statutory Financial Statements.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the finance function.
• Perform any other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience using ERP’s and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• A relevant accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is required.
