Digital Services Programme Team Leader Band 6


Job description

The post holder will be involved in project management and delivery of digital projects as assigned by Senior Digital Services Managers. These may include regional, trust and directorate projects and will be of varying degrees of scale and complexity. The post holder will be required to manage a number of assigned project teams as determined by the Digital Services Strategy, in a constantly changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned projects and where appropriate assist project managers using specified methods, ensuring outputs are delivered on time and to an appropriate standard.
  • Participate in and manage assigned project teams.
  • Carry out product research to identify potential areas for innovation and present to Senior Digital Services Managers.
  • Assist the Senior Programme Manager with the management of programme/project assurance & support activities.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • University degree or recognised equivalent professional qualification in an Information & Communications Technology discipline and worked for at least 2 years in Information & Communications Technology Or
  • HND or recognised equivalent professional qualification in an Information & Communications Technology discipline and worked for at least 3 years in Information & Communications Technology Or
  • Demonstrate at least 4 years relevant working experience within an Information & Communications Technology environment, 2 of which must be at a Band 5 level or above, or equivalent.
  • Hold a current valid Prince2 Practitioner Certificate or demonstrate knowledge of the Prince2 methodologies and be willing to undertake the Practitioner programme and secure certification within one year of taking up the post.
