Job description

Reporting to the Technical / QA Manager you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the Quality Management System. Ensuring the business is compliant with relevant customer and legislative requirements.

Responsibilities

• To audit, monitor and evaluate implementation of Quality Systems and Procedures
• Keep supplier approval and raw material specifications up to date. Ensuring specification reviews are completed as required
• To identify root cause, corrective actions and to ensure continuous improvement post audit e.g. internal audits, customer audits etc
• Supporting other functions within the technical team such as customer CoC/CoA
• Maintaining traceability documents and training materials
• Dealing with customer complaints and internal non-conformances
• Carry out traceability tests
• Building execellent working relationships with our suppliers and customers
• Flexibility and ability to cover QA Auditor role when they are absent / on holiday

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Knowledge of Food Safety Principles/Good Manufacturing Practices
• Good working knowledge of Sage, Micorsoft Word and Excel
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Reliable and strong work ethic with attention to detail and problem solving skills
• Proven ability to work as part of a team and be able to work on their own initiative
• Assist with other duties as required
