Job description
Early Years the organisation for young children wish to recruit a Finance Officer.
Responsibilities
- Be part of a finance team supporting the Head of Finance Services in the promotion of efficient and effective delivery of strong financial management within Early Years.
- The role is 37 hours per week, permanent, based in Early Years Headquarters, Belfast.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 5 GCSEs to include English and Maths at Grade C or above (or equivalent).
- At least 3 years working in a finance role with at least 1 year of experience working at a similar level.
- Experience of maintaining budgets.
- Experience of producing financial reports, such as income and expenditure.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office.
- Ability to develop good working relationships with external organisations.
Desirable Skills
- Part or newly qualified accountant.
- Good working knowledge of the Sage 200 accounting package.
- Experience of working in the voluntary sector in a financial capacity.
- Experience of preparing grant claims for funding bodies.
- Experience of payroll processing.
