Project Development Officer


Job description

The Project Development Officer will undertake research and policy analysis to provide reports to the College leadership to inform the direction of travel for strategic developments and projects in the North West region, nationally and internationally including identifying and sourcing additional funds to support the delivery of new initiatives within the College.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Principal and Chief Executive, Director of Curriculum and Academic Standards and the Leadership team to translate and implement sector policies in relation to education skills and training
  • Contribute to the development of new and innovative curriculum opportunities for students undertaking further and higher education or training
  • Identify key relevant sources of external funding, advise and inform management team on projects and initiatives
  • Manage and develop initiatives identified by the Cross-border tertiary education cluster to translate and implement sector policies in relation to the North West Regional College portfolio in relation to education, skills and training
  • Improve curriculum opportunities for students undertaking Further and Higher Education and Training

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Have at least a Level 6 qualification in any discipline
  • At least 2 years employment experience (within the last 5 years) to include: a. contribution to Curriculum Development in FE, HE or Training Sector b. stakeholder engagement c. project management d. sourcing funding and completing funding application
