Job description

We are looking for a Principal Civil Engineer who would be interested in working towards a possible Directorship. Provide assistance to senior management in the preparation of technical and financial proposals. Contribute to work winning and preparation of bid documents.

Responsibilities

• Producing technical reports.
• Manage personal / team budgets and resources
• Keep up to date with Industry best practice
• Act in the role of Contractor's Responsible Engineer
• Coordinating and ensuring production of specification and drawings
• Undertaking concept design, feasibility studies and preliminary design
• Attendance at meetings with team, clients, contractors and statutory bodies including Technical Approvals as required
• Provide supervision and training to staff

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Chartered Civil Engineer.
• Effective communication skills in a client facing role.
• Proven experience of delivering projects to time and budget.
• Proven experience of inspection, assessment and design of various structures.
• 10 years design experience in a range of civil engineering projects.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

We also undertake specialist design of highway bridges, complex temporary works and structural piling throughout the UK.
