Job description

THE EMPLOYER IS: VISUAL SPECTRUM STUDIOS LTD To assist in the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring all lighting and visual equipment is correctly prepared, maintained, and returned for production jobs. You will play a critical role in keeping the kit organised, clean, functional, and ready to go in and out of jobs efficiently. You will be reporting to the warehouse line manager.

Responsibilities

  • Kit Prep & Return: Prepare, test, and pack equipment for upcoming jobs based on prep sheets and job specs. Check in and inspect the returned kit after events.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with tracking and organising stock, reporting shortages, damages, or missing items.
  • Maintenance: Clean, test, and carry out basic maintenance on lighting, AV, and rigging equipment.
  • Organisation: Keep the warehouse tidy and well-organised, ensuring everything is stored safely and accessibly.
  • Logistics Support: Help load/unload vehicles, assist with occasional on-site delivery or collection of equipment.
  • Health & Safety: Adhere to all safety policies, including safe manual handling and use of equipment.
  • Vehicle safety checks - Following a checklist on weekly & monthly maintenance checks.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Willingness to learn about lighting, AV, or rigging equipment (training will be provided).
  • Ability to follow a procedure to identify faults in equipment.
  • Physically fit and capable of manual lifting.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
  • Teamwork & Communication - works well with other warehouse and technical staff; communicates clearly about any issues with the kit.

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or technical production environment.
  • Knowledge of hand tools.
  • CSR site safety knowledge.
  • Organisational Skills - able to manage storage areas, label and track kit efficiently.
  • Full driving licence (preferred).

Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment.
