Job description

We are a long established family run business based in Strabane, specialising in the manufacture of high quality sauces, condiments and related food products. We are seeking a production operator to help the preparation and mixing of various types of product, alongside operating machinery & performing tasks in the production and packaging of food products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, produce & pack a range of food products
• Maintain a clean & hygienic workspace, following food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Label, package and store items correctly, ensuring freshness/quality & traceability
• Follow all applicable quality & food safety procedures, guidelines & policies including GMP's, cleaning schedules & CCP's
• Assist with goods in & out
• Support stock rotation & report low or damaged stock
• Work efficiently with the rest of the team to meet production deadlines
• Follow all health & safety procedures

Essential Skills

• Ability to follow instructions accurately and work efficiently
• Strong attention to detail & quality standards
• Flexibility to work in a fast paced environment
• Excellent communication skills

Desirable Skills

• Ability to work on own initiative
• Willingness to work overtime if required
• Previous experience in food manufacturing or production environment is preferable
