THE EMPLOYER IS: SIGNATURE HAIR & CO This role involves greeting clients, preparing them for treatments, conducting basic consultations to assess their needs, and recording client information and feedback. Responsibilities include assisting senior therapists with advanced treatments and, under supervision, performing basic services such as shampooing, conditioning, and simple scalp massages.

Responsibilities

• Client Consultation and Care: Learning to greet clients, prepare them for treatments, conduct basic consultations to assess their needs, and record client information and feedback.
• Treatment Assistance and Execution: Assisting senior therapists with advanced treatments and, under supervision, performing basic treatments like shampooing, conditioning, and simple scalp massages.
• Hygiene and Safety: Ensuring the treatment rooms and common areas are clean, organized, and meet high industry standards for health and safety.
• Product Knowledge and Sales: Learning about the various hair and scalp care products used in the salon and assisting with product recommendations and retail sales.
• Administrative Support: Answering phone calls, managing appointment bookings, and helping maintain stock levels.
• Continuous Learning: Actively participating in training programs, observing senior therapists, and staying updated on the latest scalp care techniques and trends.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• A willingness to learn: The ability to conduct comprehensive consultations, gathering medical history, lifestyle information, and treatment expectations through active listening and effective questioning.
• Empathy and Sensitivity: Approaching client concerns with maturity, tact, and understanding, especially when dealing with sensitive issues like hair loss, which can affect a client's confidence.
• Effective Communication: Clearly explaining procedures, product recommendations, and aftercare advice (including at-home routines and lifestyle adjustments) in a professional and understandable manner.

The Employer is: SIGNATURE HAIR & CO JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information - Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. - Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. - Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
