Regional Development Officer


Job description

We are recruiting for a Regional Development Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Provide input to the team’s objectives and ensure product quality control throughout the life cycle of any project work.
  • In conjunction with the Regional Manager, plan, execute and finalise projects according to the strict deadlines, set out in the project plan.
  • This includes coordinating the inputs from team members (including admin and legal) and from key stakeholders in order to deliver the project according to the plan.
  • In conjunction with the Regional Manager, draft scope, goals, deliverables, including key timescales (and subsequent changes, where necessary), taking account of views of senior management and stakeholders.
  • Draft detailed project plans and associated communications plan documents.
  • In conjunction with the Regional Manager, proactively identify necessary changes in project scope, potential issues/risks to the project, devise contingency plans (where necessary) for consideration.
  • With the Regional Manager estimate the resources needed to achieve project goals, and, outline defined inputs and resource requirements from other BSO Directorates and managers within the wider HSC.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Experience in staff supervision for a minimum of 1 year.
  • A degree or relevant professional qualification and have at least 2 years relevant experience. Relevant experience should include experience in:
  • Undertaking/assisting with / contributing to the conducting of system reviews or investigations. Or,
  • Undertaking/assisting with the development, provision and implementation of operational advice and guidance relating to legislative requirements. OR,
  • 5 years relevant experience in:
  • Undertaking/assisting with / contributing to the conducting of system reviews or investigations. Or,
  • Undertaking/assisting with the development, provision and implementation of operational advice and guidance relating to legislative requirements.
  • Working knowledge of and the application of legislation / regulation in specific circumstances.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Packages, excel, access data base, publisher etc.

Further Information
