PVC Manufacturing Operative
Job description
Our client is seeking a PVC Manufacturing Operative to join their team based in Belfast.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery used in the production of PVC products (e.g. cutting, welding, and assembly equipment).
- Measure, cut, and assemble PVC components according to technical specifications.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Identify and report faults, defects, or material issues.
- Maintain production targets while ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Keep workstations clean, organised, and hazard-free.
- Assist with loading/unloading materials and stock control when required.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (PVC/uPVC experience preferred).
- Ability to operate machinery and hand tools safely.
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic understanding of measurements and technical drawings.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with CNC or automated machinery.
- Forklift licence (advantageous).
- Knowledge of quality control processes.
- Good communication skills.
