PVC Manufacturing Operative


Job description

Our client is seeking a PVC Manufacturing Operative to join their team based in Belfast.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machinery used in the production of PVC products (e.g. cutting, welding, and assembly equipment).
  • Measure, cut, and assemble PVC components according to technical specifications.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Identify and report faults, defects, or material issues.
  • Maintain production targets while ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
  • Keep workstations clean, organised, and hazard-free.
  • Assist with loading/unloading materials and stock control when required.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (PVC/uPVC experience preferred).
  • Ability to operate machinery and hand tools safely.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Basic understanding of measurements and technical drawings.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with CNC or automated machinery.
  • Forklift licence (advantageous).
  • Knowledge of quality control processes.
  • Good communication skills.
