We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Day Nursery Cook to prepare nutritious, balanced meals for young children in our nursery setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a understanding of food safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing and development of children by providing wholesome meals in a warm and caring environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing meal times efficiently, ensuring dietary requirements are met, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks for children in accordance with dietary guidelines and nutritional standards.
• Plan weekly menus that cater to various dietary needs, including allergies and special diets.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• English and Maths.
• Food Hygiene Training or be willing to complete.
