Job description

We are looking for an experienced Kitchen & Furniture Finisher / Spray Painter to join our team. The role involves preparing, sanding, spraying and finishing kitchen doors, furniture and other joinery to a high-quality professional standard.

Responsibilities

• Prepare kitchen doors, furniture and joinery for spraying and finishing.
• Sand, fill, prime and prepare surfaces to achieve a smooth, professional finish.
• Spray paint and lacquer doors, panels, furniture and other components.
• Mix and apply coatings accurately and consistently.
• Ensure finished surfaces are smooth, even and free from defects.
• Inspect work throughout the process and carry out any necessary touch-ups or corrections.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe spraying and preparation area.
• Clean and maintain spray equipment, tools and work areas.
• Follow health and safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines for paints and coatings.
• Work efficiently to meet agreed deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in spray painting, furniture finishing, kitchen spraying or joinery finishing.
• Strong knowledge of sanding, surface preparation, priming and spraying techniques.
• Experience working with spray guns and professional spray equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
• Ability to identify imperfections and achieve a consistently smooth finish.
• Good knowledge of paints, lacquers, primers and different coating systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to manage workload to meet deadlines.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety.
• Experience within a kitchen, furniture, joinery or workshop environment is preferred.

Desirable Skills

• Experience spraying kitchen doors and fitted furniture.
• Experience with 2-pack, PU, lacquer or other professional furniture coatings.
• Previous experience working with MDF, timber, veneer and painted furniture.
