Job description

The Employer is: SOURCOMPANY 100TH LTD. A trainee Baker learning to produce all of our sourdough breads and pastries as well as procedures. We require a trainee baker to join our team. This role will be to learn the scope of our process and help compliment the team as we grow into a larger volume business.

Responsibilities

• Will work with the kitchen and bakery team to help produce the daily breads and pastries.
• Mixing doughs and shaping all breads and pastries. Baking (loading, unloading the ovens).
• Slicing and packing breads.
• Dealing with deliveries and orders.
• General cleaning duties.
• Bakers will also deal with other aspects of food prep and service for the café/restaurant both to help learn more about the role and their output as well as for events and business needs more generally.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Attention to detail.
• Motivated.
• Physical role, includes manual handling, loading mixers with 16kg sacks etc.
• Clean and tidy.
• Good time management .
• Patience.
• Good listener.
• Baking experience is not required but a basic understanding of breads is preferred.

Desirable Skills

• Innovative.
• Creative.
• Ambitious.

Further Information

The Employer is: SOURCOMPANY 100TH LTD. Work Time: Our shift patterns for bakers are unconventional so you will work during the daytime, with no night shifts or very early mornings. Exact times will be determined when a skill level has been achieved and then subject to exact business needs. Although this is a full time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended, and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Candidates will have a keen interest in food in general. Driving license preferred but not essential.
