Job description

The post holder will work as part of a dedicated team to provide an efficient and effective service HSC Trust Customers. The CECS Warehouse/ Transport Charge-hand will assist the supervisor in the day to day supervision of a team of CECS Warehouse/driver operatives. The post holder will assist the supervisor to maintain the distribution cycle to include intake, receipt, put away, replenishment picking marshalling and despatch as well as decontamination of all returned items. Responsibilities

• Undertake duties in accordance with Warehouse Operational Procedures and Working Instructions to include the use of Barcode scanners
• Ensure all receipts of incoming stock/non-stock goods from suppliers are verified for quantity and quality, and ensure all discrepancies and damages are reported as per procedures
• Access, update and maintain community equipment/logistics systems to ensure accurate inventory equipment held in the CECS warehouse

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• A minimum of three GCSEs or equivalent (Grades A-C) to include Maths and English 18 months experience in a procurement/logistics environment
• Or Minimum of three years in a procurement/logistics environment

Desirable Skills

• Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems/Inventory Systems and experience of voice picking systems Demonstrate experience of staff supervision or taking the lead in a project
• Licensed to drive a Counterbalance Truck or Reach Truck
