Personality Disorder Service, Team Manager (Band 7)
Job description
The Personality Disorder Service provides Trust wide services for individuals experiencing personality disorder, The Team Manager will play a key role in re-organisation and re-engineering of Personality Disorder Resources to provide an appropriate service response for individuals presenting with Personality Disorder. The post holder will work closely with the lead of the PD service to ensure the most appropriate use of financial and human resources and to ensure adherence to expected standard and continuity of service delivery. He or she will be directly responsible to ensure day to day co-ordination of the services provided by the Personality Disorder Team and for ensuring that systems and policies are in place to support operational effectiveness, clinical governance and high quality service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Maintain continuing responsibility for a reduced caseload. Ensure systems for appropriate allocation of referrals and review of caseloads in keeping with agreed standards are maintained.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years experience working within a Community Mental Health Team as a Community Psychiatric Nurse band 6 or above OR 3 years as Social Worker OR Clinical Psychologist band 7
- OR 3 years experience at band 6 Occupational Therapist.
Desirable Skills
- 6 months or more experience of managing/leading a multi-disciplinary team in a formal acting-up capacity. A recognized Qualification in another recognized therapeutic approach.
