Knit Production Trainee Operator
Job description
Ensure all work is produced to the highest quality standard, production targets are achieved, and production runs efficiently..
Responsibilities
- Supply the machines with the correct yarn
- Inspect the Fabric / Socks being produced on the machines
- Effectively communicating any faults / or machine downtime
- Fix Press offs / needles etc
- Maintain the housekeeping within the Department / cleanliness of the machines
- Must have high attention to detail and a very high focus on quality and accuracy and be able to carry out routine tasks time and time again
- Participate in all job training and coaching
- Adhere to Health and Safety regulations at all times
- Ensure good working relations with colleagues
- Ensure that company polices are adhered to always, this includes Equal Opportunities Policy, Harassment Policy, Health and Safety Policy and Training Policy
- Any other reasonable duties requested
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- GCSE level to include English and Math or equivalent
- Able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy
- Well organised, committed to meeting deadlines and work well under pressure
Desirable Skills
- Experience in the textiles industry
Further Information
Salary: £11.47 per hour for first 13 week training period
