Job description
RISE NI is a regional early intervention service which supports children in mainstream pre-school education and mainstream primary school settings by enabling participation and helping children develop the foundation skills for learning. As a member of the multi-disciplinary RISE team, the post holder will provide universal and targeted intervention as well as training and consultative support to education staff. The post holder will provide Physiotherapy assessment and intervention for children referred to the service. The successful candidate will work term time: 22.5 hours per week, September to June.
Responsibilities
- To carry out Paediatric Physiotherapy, identifying factors which are impacting in the school environment and contributing to underachievement or limiting access to the curriculum.
- With support from the multidisciplinary team, to carry out a trans-disciplinary assessment of the childs functional participation, identifying factors which may impact participation in education within scope of practice.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Be registered or be eligible to register with the Health and Care Professions Council
- BSc Physiotherapy or equivalent
Desirable Skills
- Experience of working collaboratively with education staff in an educational setting to achieve physiotherapy goals for children and young people.
- Evidence of approved/accredited post graduate training and CPD relevant to the management and treatment of children with a range of healthcare needs.
Further Information
Location: Lilac Villa, Gransha Roundabout, Derry/Londonderry. Salary: £33,706 - £40,588 per annum, pro rata.
