This is an active hand’s on role that can be physically demanding due to the manual handling tasks laid out in the responsibilities of this posting. The General Production Operative will assist the Production Operator with the set-up and running of machines, ensuring that we meet & exceed the quality requirements and specifications of our customers as well as our production efficiency targets. Offering a competitive rate of pay & coupled with an attractive shift rate, the successful candidate will be required to work within an allocated shift pattern and be flexible on covering overtime from time to time. .

Responsibilities

• Assist Production Operator with all aspects of order set-up
• Organise and fill out all paperwork related to work order
• Roll changes, including taking rolls off winders, weighing rolls, recording and palletising
• Unloading and unpacking raw materials or plates for machine processing or printing
• Organising consumables for production including core cutting
• Maintain an organised and clean work environment
• Follow all food safety, product quality and Health and Safety Guidelines as laid out in the company procedures
• Assist with all other work that needs to be completed

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Must have good numerical, written & communication skills
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English Language

Desirable Skills

• Experience in a production/factory environment would be desirable, however not essential
