Job description

We are seeking a Chemistry Laboratory Analyst for our client in Belfast. .

Responsibilities

• Preparation of standards and reagents.
• General laboratory housekeeping.
• Carrying out sample preparation and chemical analysis using a range of techniques, apparatus and instrumentation.
• Accurate Data entry into laboratory database.
• Accurate record-keeping associated with UKAS quality system.
• Recording sample details on receipt at laboratory.
• Maintaining records required for UKAS/ISO 17025 accreditation.
• Any other duties as may be required by the post.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Degree in Chemistry or closely related subject.
• Experience in ICP-MS.
• A minimum of one-year experience in a laboratory environment.
• A working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suites.

Desirable Skills

• Experience of troubleshooting and maintenance of analytical chemistry instrumentation.
• Previous analytical experience of any of the following Discrete Analyser and TOC.
• Understanding of chemistry principles and analysis.
• Excellent laboratory skills.
• Effective organiser.
• Highly accurate.
