Scientific Content Creator (Marketing)


Job description

A unique opportunity has arisen for an innovative and articulate individual to join the Randox team in the position of Scientific Content Creator (Marketing). The successful applicant will be responsible for the preparation and writing of scientific materials for use in all corporate literature, promotional documents for exhibitions/roadshows globally and peer reviewed journals. You will manage and complete assigned communications deliverables to high quality standards and in accordance with agreed timelines. Projects include, but are not limited to manuscripts, abstracts, posters, PowerPoint slide sets, press releases, satellite symposia content, internal reports, publication planning and education materials for internal and external teams. .

Responsibilities

  • Liaising with various departments including personnel in international offices to collate product and market information.
  • Writing, copy-editing and proofreading scientific material for use in corporate literature including brochures, sales aids, exhibitions materials, peer reviewed journals etc. to promote Randox products worldwide.
  • Writing scientific information for all internal and external channels.
  • Collating product information and the subsequent preparation and distribution of regular marketing publications.
  • Attendance at national and international conferences and Randox Roadshows to promote Randox products and services.
  • Creation of content for advertising features, fliers, posters, white papers, press releases, videos and websites.
  • Review of current scientific literature to keep up-to-date with advancements in the fields of toxicology, food diagnostics, clinical diagnostics and healthcare.
  • Creation of content for client training videos and other electronic media.
  • Liaising with researchers involved in collaborative studies with Randox and writing, copy-editing and proofreading scientific papers for publication in peer reviewed journals.
  • Creation of Scientific Posters and presentations to be used at Industry Sponsored Workshops, conferences, seminars, customer presentations and Roadshows.
  • Processing of internal requests for articles from peer reviewed publications.
  • Maintaining records for all assigned projects including archiving.
  • Maintaining audit, Standard Operating Procedure and training compliance.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Qualified to at least degree level (2:1 and above) in a Biochemistry, Chemistry or Life Science related subject.
  • Possess a clear understanding of scientific communications.
  • Ability to understand and communicate scientific information in clear, concise and accurate language to professional or lay audiences.
  • Medical writing experience including publications, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slide sets, and press releases.
  • Good understanding of industry work processes for publications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook).
  • Innovative in actions and thinking.
  • Articulate in oral, written and visual presentations.
  • Awareness of the importance of marketing activities.
  • Ability to understand customers and build long term relationships.

Desirable Skills

  • A Masters degree (or equivalent) in a marketing or business related discipline.
  • Awareness of the diagnostics and healthcare markets.
